Responsibilities include:

• Closing sales with minimal assistance
• Having a good working knowledge of Meridian's markets
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education & selection as well as after-sales support services
• Preparing sales & opportunity reports for head office
• Developing long-term relationships with customers through managing and interpreting their requirements
• Showing customers that our products best satisfy their needs in terms of function, quality, price and delivery
• Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and company needs;
• Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects
• Able to demonstrate a high degree of proficiency with MS Office applications
• Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
• Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets customer needs
• Timely and professional response to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFQs/RFPs
• Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
• Travel throughout sales territory.
